In 1985, Lake Country Corporation was established as a decorative laminate and industrial plastic distributor located in North Lake, Wisconsin. Operating out of a rented, 5,000 square foot building, we had only five employees for the first few years. In 1989 the decorative laminate line was discontinued due to shrinking margins and high loss percentages of material from damaged shipments. At that time we started to focus more heavily on the industrial plastics product line and began the value-added service of machining plastic.

Our employment and capabilities grew slowly until 1993, when we bought the assets of a bankrupt machine shop that primarily worked with metal, located in Mayville, WI. Overnight our employment went from 7 to 10 and we became a CNC (computer numerically controlled) fabricator of metal as well as our core product of plastic. Within a few months, we closed our North Lake facility and moved our entire operation to Mayville.

By 1995 we had outgrown our new 10,000 squre foot building and purchased an 18,000 square foot building directly to the north. We connected the two buildings with a short tunnel and currently reside in this 28,000 square foot facilty.

Since the move to Mayville, our growth in personnel, equipment, and capabilities has been substantial. We have added and will continue to add to our capacity as our customer needs dictate. At the present time, we are again outgrowing our current facility and will need to expand in the near future.

As we look forward, the values that Lake Country Corporation was founded on will continue. We realize that without our customers and employees, there would be no Lake Country Corporation. The face of business is ever changing and we will be ready to service our customer's needs as we have since 1985.
